BYD Ranks 91st in the 2026 Fortune Global 500, Maintaining its Position Among the World's Top 100

On July 28th, the 2026 Fortune Global 500 list was officially released, with BYD making the list for the fifth consecutive year, ranking 91st and firmly establishing itself among the world's top 100.

In 2025, BYD achieved annual revenue of 804 billion yuan and net profit of 32.6 billion yuan; its annual sales of new energy vehicles reached 4.6 million units, retaining its titles as the world's best-selling new energy vehicle manufacturer and the best-selling automaker in the Chinese market. From January to June 2026, the company's cumulative sales exceeded 1.8 million vehicles. In July, BYD's 17 millionth new energy vehicle officially rolled off the production line, becoming the first automaker to achieve this milestone.

BYD consistently adheres to the development philosophy of "technology as king, innovation as the foundation." In 2025, the company's R&D investment reached 63.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17%, ranking first among A-share listed companies for two consecutive years. In the first quarter of 2026, the company's R&D investment reached 11.3 billion yuan, leading domestic mainstream automakers and leading emerging forces. To date, the company's cumulative R&D investment has exceeded 250 billion yuan. This sustained high-intensity investment in technology is accelerating the implementation of more disruptive technological achievements. In March 2026, BYD released its second-generation blade battery and flash charging technology, planning to build 20,000 flash charging stations nationwide by the end of the year. In addition, BYD will also deploy 6,000 overseas flash charging stations globally. In May, BYD took the lead in committing to a one-year safety guarantee for urban navigation and announced that all its models can be equipped with the "Sky Eye B" laser-assisted driving system, ushering in an era of universal urban navigation.

In 2025, BYD's overseas sales exceeded 1 million units for the first time, a year-on-year increase of 145%; in the first half of 2026, overseas sales continued to grow, exceeding 780,000 units. The company's overseas strategy has formed a pattern of "leading in Latin America, breakthroughs in Europe, and widespread success in Asia."

In terms of sustainable development, as of June 30, BYD's new energy vehicles have cumulatively reduced carbon emissions by 149 million tons compared to traditional gasoline vehicles, equivalent to planting 2.48 billion trees. Regarding social responsibility, BYD launched a 3 billion yuan education charity fund and reached donation agreements with 127 universities nationwide, inspiring over 6,000 students.
